Use a combi in a small home

Use a combi in a small home

If you have a room issue in your house you should study fitting a combi heating boiler. All you require to fit the full central heating system is a combination gas boiler and balanced flue. With the addition of copper pipe to transfer the hot water to the radiators to heat your room you will be finished. Your first reaction maybe that we had forgotten some pieces. Central heating systems seem to require a hot water tank to store water, a feed and enlargement cylinder in the loft and a water pump to move everything around.

It may shock you to learn that a combi boiler does not require these parts. You do not need to purchase a hot water storage cylinder, room in the attic can be saved by leaving out the feed and enlargement cylinder, the combination gas boiler holds the other pieces inside its casing. The consequence is that a lot of storage space is saved inside your house.

The combination gas boiler is not new. The combi has been more popular in Europe than in the U.K., but is now being fitted more frequently as an alternative to the traditional wall mounted boiler. By comparison with orthodox heating boilers you will see that there are two major deviations. The first point to highlight is that the circulating hot water for the central heating is within a fully sealed system. The benefit of this is that there is no requirement to fit a feed and expansion tank in the attic. A second benefit is withdrawing the requirement for the hot water storage tank as the heating boiler stocks its own hot water.

As hot water is needed it is produced straightaway by the boiler, this is signalled when you switch on a valve. The boiler can rapidly heat cold water by using an integral heat exchanger. Hot water in the central heating system is used to immediately heat the heat exchanger. In this way brand-new mains cold water is rapidly heated before reaching the hot water valve.

Hot water supply to the radiators is a lesser importance than the output of instant hot water for the house. The radiators are provided with hot water once the valve is shut.

So in summary and combination gas boiler can save you a healthy amount of room in your household.
