Central Heating care protection can care for your gas boiler

It’s easy to heat up your home during summers however you can meet a lot of problems if your central heating boiler stops working as winter approaches unless you are used to talking cold showers. Boilers are one of those things in life that we rarely think think of, until they stop working that is. Hot water can be created any time and very quickly, but be careful as they have a limited capacity so the hot shower you are taking might suddenly become cold if several other hot taps are turned on at the same time.

The other option is to have a sealed system central heating boiler which uses a storage tank, which allows bigger families to use different water outlets at the same time without affecting the water pressure or temperature. Such a sealed system is convenient to install and also saves on space. However, because of the storage tank, hot water isn’t instant and can run out if used too quickly.

An open vent boiler is the norm in most older homes, and takes up the most space; two water tanks in the loft and a storage cylinder in the airing cupboard. An open vent central heating boiler provides plenty of hot water that can be used simultaneously, just like a sealed central heating system, but again here too heating takes time and the pressure is not as good as with a combi boiler.

The fifth type is a back central heating boiler which is bulkier, but can deliver hot water to several outlets under good pressure. Traditionally back boilers are stored in a chimney breast, but unless you already have one, it’s probably not worth switching to one. However, if you do already have a back heating boiler system installed in your home and it needs replacing, rather than getting a completely new system, it would be more sensible to get a new back heating boiler installed.

Any malfunctioning heating boiler system requires expensive overhauling and repair. A boiler insurance policy can help a great deal by easing your repair costs in case your heating system fails at some point. Buy a good gas boiler breakdown policy which not only covers the labour, repair costs and also provides annual inspections with no call out charge.
